Ac Drives
An ac drive is a device that is used to control the speed of an electrical motor. The speed is controlled by changing the frequency of the electrical supply to the motor. The three-phase voltage in the national electrical grid connected to a motor creates a rotating magnetic field in it.
SERVO DRIVES
A servo drive receives a command signal from a control system, amplifies the signal, and transmits electric current to a servo motor in order to produce motion proportional to the command signal. Typically, the command signal represents a desired velocity, but can also represent a desired torque or position.

A Stepper Motor or a step motor is a brushless, synchronous motor, which divides a full rotation into a number of steps.
